Not just a ride
A Dream Come True

My journey to the 1st Coast began years ago when I first visited Saint Augustine in 2002 with some high school friends. Immediately, I felt an attraction to this unique and beautiful place. Throughout the years I always made it a point to travel there.

My wife Brooklyn also shares my affection for this place. She and I got engaged on the Bridge of Lions, married on Vilano Beach, and had our reception at O.C. Whites Seafood and Spirits. For six years we also talked about moving here every time we visited.

In 2022 and 2023 Valdosta suffered major damage from direct hits by Hurricanes Idalia and Helene. I told her, “If we are going to keep getting flattened by hurricanes, we might as well live at the beach!”

So, I discussed the move with Brooklyn and my employees and decided to open a Northeast Florida branch of Handy Home Inspections (my other business).

I also had the thought—I have always wanted to share my fascination and knowledge of Saint Augustine, and what better way to do it than to offer tours myself. I also remember how nice it was to get a taxi ride when we were tired. Brooklyn and I were tossing around name ideas. She suggested to theme it after my tattoo (a pirate parrot on my left arm). I wanted to incorporate my law enforcement career as well and just like that… Parrot Patrol Taxi was born.

In fulfilling a dream of mine, I sincerely hope to make your vacation one to remember.
